Get To Know The Vine

Our Journey…

How did we get here?

The Vine Wesleyan Church started in Lancaster on March 20, 2005. We are a strategic new church-start of Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church and The Western New York District of the Wesleyan Church. In 2001, God gave Eastern Hills a dream to begin another congregation in the Western New York region. After a couple of years of prayer and planning, Christopher and Tammy Baldwin were selected and began work on the church in June of 2004.

The Vine is a church with a solid, traditional, historic foundation and relevant approaches to ministry. We like to think of it as a place where the atmosphere is relaxed, the people are real, and the faith is relevant. For many, the faith in God they knew growing up has been awakened with a vital present connection with Jesus today. For others, the Vine is a place where God has become real and central to their lives like never before.

The Vine is a church that is in Lancaster, for Lancaster. Our Desire is to become a vital member of the community, making a difference in many lives and families in the area.

On Sundays, there are about 200 people that gather. We are a community of faith large enough to do significant ministry, while not so large that people are lost in the crowd.

What We Value…….YOU!

We value people being real with God, themselves, and each other. Many have come to the Vine and found purpose, friendship, a sense of family, spiritual growth, marriage restoration, hope, and love in a relationship with God and within community of believers at The Vine.

We value creating deeply spiritual and meaningful experiences. At the Vine, we work hard at discovering each week how God may be a vital and vibrant part of the lives of every man, women, student, and child

We value a relaxed atmosphere that encourages spiritual moments with God. Our music, messages, communion, and other elements draw us into meet with God. This interaction with God does not leave us the same but provides purpose, meaning, and tremendous spiritual growth. Close behind our relationship with God is our relationships with others. We encourage our people to connect with others in meaningful ways that will encourage them in their walk with God.

Who are the Wesleyans?

The Wesleyan Church is an evangelical, Protestant denomination. We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful personal relationship with God, a holy life empowered by His Spirit for witness and service, and assurance of eternal life in heaven. Our name is in honor of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, whose emphasis on a life of faith, self-discipline, and perfect love is our example.
